The Disney Parks Blog shared an update on the status of many seasonal events at Walt Disney World for 2020. Several events will be modified or cancelled to accommodate social distancing and guest safety.
The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will begin when EPCOT re-opens on July 15th. Starting earlier than ever, “A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival” will feature over 20 global marketplaces spread out throughout the park. Announced marketplaces include Hawaii, Hops & Barley and Islands of the Caribbean.
Because the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival ended prematurely this year, elements of that festival (as well as merchandise) will be carried over to the Food & Wine Festival. This includes a new Remy topiary in France and the Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt.
The Eat to the Beat Concert Series will not take place in 2020, but EPCOT entertainment offerings like Mariachi Cobre and the JAMMitors are expected to play at the America Garden Theatre.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Disney H2O Glow Nights will not take place in 2020. Guests that have already purchased tickets will receive refunds.
At this point in time, decisions have not been finalized on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Epcot International Festival of the Holidays or the Candlelight Processional.
