The Disney Parks Blog shared more details of The BOATHOUSE restaurant that opened today at Downtown Disney.
The BOATHOUSE is a waterfront dining experience that offers steaks, seafood and a raw bar. It seats 600 (400 indoors, 200 outdoors) and features a selection of rare dream boats from the 1930s-1950s.
Guests can also take advantage of a fleet of water taxi and a fleet of amphibious cars, called Amphicars. The Amphicar tours are $125 for up to three guests and it includes a tour guide with your own Captain. Tours are available daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The Italian Water Taxi Cruise (The Venezia) is an alternative to the amphicars. It is a 40-foot wooden Italian Water Taxi that also functions as a Captain's guided tour of Downtown Disney. It includes live music, chocolate covered strawberries and a champagne toast. Tours of 20 are offered hourly from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The cost is $75 per person or $50 per child under age 13. A private tour known as the Antique Steamboat Tour aboard Lady Rose is also available for $150 a couple.
The interior decor includes, "Floating Art" a collection of rare boats from museums and private collectors in the marina. The interior decor includes boat motors, regatta trophies, photography and artwork all inspired by the nautical theme.
Entertainment takes place throughout the day and evening led by the Harbor Master.
