Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance officially opens today (December 5, 2019) and we will use this space for opening day reports.
8:30 AM: The attraction is back up after downtime this morning. The wait time for the attraction is not posted in minutes on the My Disney Experience app. Instead, guests are assigned to boarding groups in a virtual queue. The app is currently serving boarding groups 13-20. Guests wishing to get a spot in the virtual queue now will receive a boarding group with an estimated wait time of “Evening”.
8:35 AM: All boarding groups have been distributed for the day. BlogMickey.com posted a tweet of the sign:

9:35 AM: Now serving boarding groups 21-30
10:50 AM: Now serving boarding groups 23-32
12:20 PM: Now serving boarding groups 33-50. Guests using the Disability Access Service system are still required to have a valid boarding group. Once the boarding group is called they will be directed to the Fastpass line.
Reports have wait times ranging from 20-60 minutes once guests enter the line after their boarding group is called.
2:20 PM: Now serving boarding groups 51-68.
5:35 PM: Now serving boarding groups 79-97.
6:30 PM: Now serving boarding groups 85-103.
7:30 PM: Now serving boarding groups 95-108. Guests who received a boarding group but were unable to ride today will receive complimentary 1 day park hopper tickets valid for tomorrow as well as a Fastpass good for any ride at Walt Disney World including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
