DisneyWorld.com has confirmed that Soarin' will close for refurbishment on January 4, 2016, and re-open in summer 2016.
At this time, expected changes include:
- Changes to the queue, adjacent restroom, and upgrades to digital projectors are expected.
- Digital HD Omnimax quality film, 4K or higher HD resolution
- The third theater is expected to be connected.
- The Soarin' Around the World film update is not expected during this refurbishment, but later in 2016.
