Several New Experiences debut Memorial Day Weekend at Walt Disney World


As previously announced, several new experiences debuted at Walt Disney World over memorial day weekend.

At Epcot, the original Soarin film returned for a limited engagement before Soarin' Around the World opens on June 17th. The original film returns with a digital upgrade. At this time, it does not appear that all three theaters are being used, but the new theater is currently operational. Upgrade restrooms were also added to the area. Additional restrooms also debuted in the Norway Pavilion and the new facade for Frozen Ever After was revealed. Frozen Ever After and Royal Sommerhus debut on June 21, 2016.

At Hollywood Studios, the third track for Toy Story Midway Mania soft opened on May 23rd, but officially debuted on May 27th.

At Disney's Animal Kingdom new nighttime offerings opened around the park. In Africa the Harambe Wildlife Parti debuted, as did the Nighttime Safaris on Kilimanjaro Safaris. Discovery Island Carnivale opened in Discovery Island and The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic interim show debuted on Discovery River. Also debuting in Discovery Island was the new signature restaurant Tiffins, and the new cocktail lounge, Nomads.
