Additional room renovations are also taking place with landscape improvements that feature, “floating gardens and an island oasis that connects the resort through a series of bridges”. A new over the water restaurant is in development called Three Bridges Bar & Grill opened June 10th in the newly created Villa del Lago area.

The new tower will offer views of Lago Dorado and it will offer views of nighttime fireworks at multiple theme parks. As part of the tower, a new rooftop restaurant called Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood will debut in July.

Healthful breakfast items include blueberry-lavender honey yogurt with flaxseed granola and fresh-squeezed orange juice.

While the coffee experience will be available throughout the day, as the afternoon rolls around, the Barcelona Lounge transitions into an artisanal cocktail bar featuring a variety of tonics to complement an international gin collection. The collection includes a house-crafted signature Gran Destino Gin Tonic infused with orange saffron. A premium sampling of select wines will also be poured in addition to Spanish and American craft beers. There will also be a menu featuring small plates with savory options like Spanish charcuteria and artisanal cheeses, Lentil Hummus ‘Aceitunas’ Marinated Olives and more.

Initial speculation was that the expansion could be for the Disney Vacation Club, however it now appears this will be viewed as rooms for conventions.
