When the theme parks re-open to the public in July, changes to dining operations are expected, especially those restaurants that previously operated as buffets.

It is anticipated that none of these restaurants will open as buffets and they will be converted to a more standardized menu or transition to family style dining.

WDWNT.com is reporting that the following locations are expected to re-open as Family Style dining instead of as buffets:

    • Biergarten – EPCOT
    • Chef Mickey’s – Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Existing Family Style dining exists at restaurants like ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. At ‘Ohana several courses are brought to the table and guests can request additional unlimited servings. The existing buffets that switch to family style dining would likely have to reduce their offerings to satisfy the new dining structure.

Other buffets on property include the following:

    • Akershus Royal Banquet Hall – EPCOT
    • Boma – Disney’s Animal Kingdom
    • Cape May Cafe – Disney’s Beach Club Resort
    • The Crystal Palace – Magic Kingdom
    • Hollywood & Vine – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
    • Ravello – Four Seasons Resort Orlando
    • Trail’s End – Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground
    • Tusker House – Disney’s Animal Kingdom
