New Destination Based on Star Wars: The Last Jedi Debuts on Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

Today, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue introduced new sequences inspired by the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

When Star Tours: The Adventures Continue first opened in 2011 one of the new features was variability in the ride experience. As part of that variability Disney has been able to update scenes with small changes as well as add new scenes as the first did in 2015 for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

With Star Wars: The Last Jedi debuting in theaters Thursday December 14th, Disney created additional sequences for the attraction. For the forseeable future, the variability of the attraction will be removed in favor of the new sequence listed below:

First Scene – Identification of the Rebel Spy

A new opening sequence featuring Kylo Ren replaces the Darth Vader sequence as one of the two options for the first scene.

Second Scene – First Destination

This scene should be familiar to fans of the attraction as it debuted in 2015 for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In this scene guests visit Jakku.

Third Scene – The Transmission

Two new transmission options featuring Maz Kanata or Poe Dameron transitions guests into the second destination. These two new transmissions appear at random along with the existing BB-8 transmission.

Fourth Scene – Second Destination

In the final scene, guests visit Crait a planet from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The attraction ends at the planet of Batuu which is the planet where Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge takes place.

An earlier report on the updates also revealed that at some point in the future, guests will have the opportunity to have a ride experience based on the original six movies or the new trilogy. Details on those changes can be found here.
