New Capt. Cook’s Debuts at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

The Disney Parks Blog reported that the "New Captain Cooks" has debuted at the Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This marks the first time the blog has referred to the resort by it's new name (Disney's Polynesian Village Resort). The name has been seen around the resort and has appeared on maps. Captain Cook's is a quick service location that had been closed for refurbishment since April. The location re-opened on August 13th.

Many favorites will remain on the menu including Tonga Toast. The Dole Whips have been removed from the Captain Cooks menu and they will have their own dedicated location called the Pineapple Lanai, set to open later this month.

In addition to the changes to Captain Cooks, Kona Island now sells Hawaiian shaved ice. Kona Island is located near the exit to the monorail platform, to the left of Kona Cafe. Hours are 6:30 AM – 12 PM and 5 – 10 PM

Finally, Trader Sam's Grog Grotto is set to open in Spring 2015.
