Over the last week, guests are experiencing later Fastpass return times and Fastpasses running out later in the day. Typically mid-late October has low to average crowds but reports of higher than normal crowds have also surfaced. The more common explanation of the Fastpass issues is a larger scale rollout of Fastpass+.
Guests staying at most Disney hotels are able to book 3 Fastpass+ reservations per day up to 60 days in advance of their trip. This supply of Fastpasses is being taken out of the daily distribution of Fastpasses making less available for day guests. Additional speculation has been that Disney may have adjusted the distribution rates for day of Fastpasses as well.
The result of this are popular attractions running out of Fastpasses earlier in the day. Examples include:
- Toy Story Mania Fastpasses typically distributed by 10:00 AM (Usually available up to 12:00-1:00 PM)
- Soarin' Fastpasses typically distributed by 11:30 AM (Usually available up to 3:00-4:00 PM)
- Test Track Fastpasses typically distributed by 11:30 AM (Usually available up to 3:00-4:00 PM)
- Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Fastpasses distributed by 11:30 AM (Usually available up to 3:00-4:00 PM)
It is unknown whether or not this will continue until all guests have access to the Fastpass+ system. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
