Limited Time Magic is the 2013 promotional campaign across Disney Parks. Seasonal events of a day, week or a month in length take place throughout the four theme parks and Downtown Disney as an added benefit for guests. The various events have largely been announced only a few days prior to them taking place.
Epcot events during the Limited Time Magic campaign included the following:
Winter Wonderland (January 14-23, 2013)
The “Winter Wonderland” event features snow fall at the Canada Pavilion. Additionally, Chip and Dale will join guests for a meet and greet. The times for the daily activity are as follows:
- 10:30 AM – 2:10 PM
- 3:05 PM – 5:45 PM
Presidents Day – A Weeklong Celebration (February 18-24, 2013)
The Voices of Liberty are helping guests celebrate Presidents Day through special limited time performances. The Voices of Liberty will be performing at the American Gardens theater throughout the Limited Time Magic event.
Vinylmation ‘Easter Egg’ Hunt (March 18-24, 2013)
Enjoy the most egg-cellent Limited Time Magic surprise yet! Embark on an Easter egg hunt through Epcot (valid theme park admission required). At the end of your quest, you’ll be rewarded with a special Vinylmation prize!
Visit Port of Entry in Epcot—located across from Duffy’s Meet and Greet—or International Gateway to purchase your special Eggs-perience park map and stickers, available for $4.95, plus tax.* Then, let the fun begin!
Explore the park and search for hidden eggs, using your map as a guide. As you locate eggs, mark the map with your stickers.
When you’re ready, take your map to one of the redemption locations and pick up your prize—a gift box with 2 Vinylmation key rings ($12.95 value*).
Purchase as many as you’d like—while supplies last—and play again and again. But remember, this experience is only offered for a limited time!
Spring Fling (March 25-31, 2013)
When Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny hop over to Epcot*, they’ll host exciting activities in the United Kingdom pavilion. Here, kids can meet the friendly duo, pose for photos, hunt for Easter eggs and participate in relay races.
Throughout the park, spring is in bloom. Venture to Future World East for another fun-filled Easter egg hunt. Along the way, you’ll see dazzling topiaries and botanical displays designed for Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
Fiesta! (May 5-11, 2013)
This May, Walt Disney World Resort is throwing one festive party… and it’s all set to go down at the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot!
In honor of Cinco de Mayo and Dia de los Ninos, Epcot will be hosting “Fiesta!”—a week-long celebration honoring the pride of Mexico, the personality of its people and the color of its culture.
From meeting classic characters to eating authentic Mexican foods and collecting magic merchandise, this is sure to be one fiesta you won’t soon forget!
Mickey’s America Streetbeat (July 8-14, 2013)
Soak up the sounds of a little Limited Time Magic as America Gardens Theatre comes alive at Epcot, thanks to the musical performances of “Mickey’s America Streetbeat.” For a limited time, join Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald as they come together with an energetic troupe of young performers—watch the fun unfold as they take part in an over-the-top display of hip hop, percussion and acrobatics. From the rhythm and tunes to the tap-dancing of their shoes, it’s set to be one incredible jam you won’t want to miss!
Planes Commemorative Wings (August 2 – Unknown)
Junior pilots, prepare for takeoff with your very own pair of commemorative pilot wings celebrating Planes, Disney’s upcoming animated action-packed comedic adventure taking flight in 3D in theaters Friday, August 9. Set your course for Soarin’ at Epcot where kids between the ages of 5 and 13 can get their wings—while supplies last—courtesy of Limited Time Magic.
Year of the Ear: Halloween (October 4-31, 2013)
Scare up some fashionable frights this Halloween season as you spruce up your wardrobe with a little Limited Time Magic! Throughout October, celebrate the Year of the Ear at Walt Disney World Resort with a limited edition Halloween Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Ear Hat, available while supplies last! Stop by any one of a number of shops and locations to discover yours—Emporium at Magic Kingdom park; Gateway Gifts, MouseGear and Disney Traders at Epcot; Beverly Sunset at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; Island Mercantile at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park; and Disney’s Days of Christmas as well as World of Disney Store in the Downtown Disney area.
Tour the Gardens of the Epcot Food & Wine Festival (October 21-25, 2013)
As part of Limited Time Magic, indulge in the rarest of occasions with a tour of the gardens of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! This is your chance to get up close with the floral designs of World Showcase as you learn how horticulture helps tell the Festival story with its herbs, vegetables and agronomic crops. Discover little known secrets behind the planning process for this annual event, and then ask a few questions to uncover even more! Don’t miss your opportunity for a delightful garnish to the Festival—space is extremely limited.
Thanksgiving Celebration (November 24 – December 1, 2013)
Celebrate the tastiest time of the year with Thanksgiving treats at Walt Disney World Resort—courtesy of Limited Time Magic! Savor the flavors in Magic Kingdom park with pumpkin delicacies at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant and Sleepy Hollow, as well as seasonal Starbucks offerings at Main Street Bakery. For Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, pumpkin cupcakes are available in many quick-service restaurants, and specialty drinks can be found in various bars. Even more goodness is waiting to be gobbled down in Epcot, like pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin muffins inside Sunshine Seasons. And finally, a safari of culinary delights awaits at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, including an all-you-care-to-enjoy feast—available for lunch and dinner on Thanksgiving Day at Tusker House.
Mary Poppins Celebration (December 16-22, 2013)
Step back in time for a “practically perfect” picture with Mary Poppins and Bert! For just one week, you’re invited to Epcot where you can find the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious duo together again, visiting with Guests of all ages at the United Kingdom Pavilion. Plus, for a limited time, you can even take home a poster celebrating the release of the new Disney film Saving Mr. Banks – in theaters December 20 – as well as the 50th Anniversary Edition of Disney’s Mary Poppins, now available on Blu-ray, Combo Pac and Digital HD.
