Limited Time Magic was the 2013 promotional campaign across Disney Parks. Seasonal events of a day, week or a month in length took place throughout the four theme parks and Downtown Disney as an added benefit for guests. The various events were announced only a few days prior to them taking place.
Downtown Disney events during the Limited Time Magic campaign included the following:
Beautifully Disney Cosmetic Line (March 1-31, 2013)
The Beautifully Disney Cosmetic Line event ran from March 1-31, 2013. The Beautifully Disney Cosmetic Line will be launching a new seasonal collection dubbed, “Wickedly Beautiful”.
This new line will highlight princesses and villains through nail polish, lip gloss, eyeshadow and lip gloss.
Wickedly Beautiful will be available beginning with tomorrow’s premier launch from 11 AM – 3 PM at Tren-D at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. If you are unable to visit in person, the Wickedly Beautiful Collection will be available at the DisneyParks.com/Store beginning on March 4.
Disney Truck Shop (April 5-14, 2013)
For one week only, the Disney Truck Shop will be parked along the Downtown Disney Westside route at Walt Disney World Resort, offering you the chance to pick up a limited release vintage-style tee. Available while supplies last, the tee has been inspired by the design and logo of the Disney Parks newest shop on wheels. So cruise over for this Limited Time Magic offer, and pick up some of your favorite souvenirs too—this is one ride you can’t afford to miss!
Mother’s Day Weekend (May 11-12, 2013)
This Mother’s Day Weekend, show mom the “time” of her life—as part of Limited Time Magic, whisk her away to Tren-D or World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney area where she can try her hand at the latest greatest looks, including a fashionable selection of all-new timepieces specific to the occasion! “Watch” her face light up with glee and then further the magic even more on Mother’s Day at Magic Kingdom park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, where all moms will be honored with a special flower. Valid theme park admission required.
Christmas in July (July 22-28, 2013)
Deck the halls early, courtesy of some midsummer Limited Time Magic! Stop by Ye Old Christmas Shop in Magic Kingdom park, as well as Disney Days of Christmas at Downtown Disney area where you can find all-new, magical ear hat ornaments—each featuring delightful depictions of Santa Mickey and popular park attractions too. And for a treat your sweet tooth will enjoy, savor the merry flavor at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in Magic Kingdom park with a Santa Mickey Demitasse dessert. Or, pop down to Main Street, U.S.A. for holiday cupcakes from the Main Street Bakery and gingerbread sundaes at the Cone Shop!
Year of the Ear: Halloween (October 4-31, 2013)
Scare up some fashionable frights this Halloween season as you spruce up your wardrobe with a little Limited Time Magic! Throughout October, celebrate the Year of the Ear at Walt Disney World Resort with a limited edition Halloween Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Ear Hat, available while supplies last! Stop by any one of a number of shops and locations to discover yours—Emporium at Magic Kingdom park; Gateway Gifts, MouseGear and Disney Traders at Epcot; Beverly Sunset at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; Island Mercantile at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park; and Disney’s Days of Christmas as well as World of Disney Store in the Downtown Disney area.
Chalk Art Festival (October 4-6, 2013)
Add a dash of color to your weekend when Limited Time Magic presents the Downtown Disney Chalk Art Festival! Watch in wonder as talented artists intricately transform flat concrete walkways into canvases for their dazzling works. This is your chance to marvel at the eye-catching creations as they carefully come together, crafted entirely from chalk and other materials. And while visiting Downtown Disney area, stop by the Art of Disney Gallery and celebrate with artist Greg McCullough as he appears for signings—from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, October 2 to October 6, 2013. Meet the mind behind the art as Walt Disney World Resort showcases the release of new pieces in his collection.
Donate a Duffy Bear (December 2-8, 2013)
For one magical week, join Limited Time Magic in spreading charity and cheer to families in need—from December 2 to December 8, 2013, you can make a child’s holiday extra special with a Duffy the Disney Bear! When you visit Once Upon a Toy and/or World of Disney Store at the Downtown Disney Marketplace at Walt Disney World Resort, for $5.00, Disney will donate a Duffy the Disney Bear to Toys for Tots. Disney is joining in the spirit of giving and will also donate $200,000 to Toys for Tots this holiday season.
