WDWMagic.com is reporting that Disney is currently employing a virtual queue system at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and may soon be considering using the system elsewhere on property.
With COVID-19 forcing physical distancing in existing queue space, many lines are spilling outside of their originally designed areas. As a result, expanding the virtual queue program may assist with this problem. Some attractions that may be considered for an expanded virtual queue system include the following:
- Jungle Cruise – Magic Kingdom
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance currently opens two “booking windows” daily. Once at 10:00 AM (park opening) and another at 2:00 PM. Typically, the reservations are fully booked within 10 seconds of the window opening. While similar booking windows may be utilized at other attractions, it is not expected that the demand will be as substantial as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Guests can book virtual queues using the My Disney Experience mobile application.
