ABOUT

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway takes guests into the world of the Mickey Mouse shorts aboard a runaway railway.

STORY

Guests are taken inside the Mickey Mouse short, Perfect Picnic on a music filled journey with Mickey, Minnie and all their friends. The attraction begins in the pre-show room as guests watch the premier of the new short. An explosion opens the screen and Goofy invites us to join him on the train.

From there, guests board Runnamuck Railroad where conductor Goofy leads them on the first part of the adventure. The train pulls away from the station and Mickey & Minnie pull up alongside the train.

As the train pulls forward the cars separate from the locomative at a track switch and enter into the next scene.

A western scene unfolds around the vehicles. Mickey can be scene dressed as a cowboy as other effects unfold around the four vehicles.

The scene moves into a carnival scene where a twister blows guests into the next scene where Mickey and Minnie are wrapped up in the twister.

From there, the scenery changes to a river flowing through a jungle. Mickey and Minnie are paddling furiously before we plummet down a waterfall.

Now underwater, our vehicles exit through a sewer into a bustling city. Pete can be seen jack hammering at a construction site and Donald is driving a truck.

The vehicles move into a dance studio where Daisy teaches us to dance. This scene gives way to an industrial factory which ultimately turns back into the park.

The vehicles rejoin Goofy in the locomotive as they approach Mickey, Minnie and Pluto enjoying a picnic.

SIMILAR ATTRACTIONS

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is the most similar attraction. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a slightly different ride system but a similar family friendly attraction. A catchy song and no height requirement make it also similar to ‘it’s a small world’.
