Alien Swirling Saucers is a classic whip ride featuring the Little Green Aliens from Toy Story.
The attraction is designed as a toy playset that Andy acquired at Pizza Planet. Guests become “honorary toys” throughout the land, and that story continues on Alien Swirling Saucers. Guests are spun around the attraction led by their Green Alien pilots, each with a different facial expression.
The Little Green Aliens are trying to capture your rocket toy vehicle with “The Claw.” As guests rotate around the toy planets and satellites as part of the game, they’ll swirl to the beat of fun “Space Jazz” music developed just for this experience.. The music, the lighting, and the sound effects will add to the attraction while “The Claw” looms ominously over you.
Board your toy rocket and hang on tight as the Aliens take you on a spin through space.
TIMES GUIDE - OPENING/CLOSING
This attraction opens with the park.
Alien Swirling Saucers is one of the high demand Fastpass+ reservations in the park. Same day availability will be limited and guests will typically save at least 30-45 minutes using Fastpass+ even on low crowd days.
It is a “Tier 1” Fastpass+ attraction and is the highest demand Fastpass+ attraction in the park.
Buzz Lightyear flanks the entrance of the attraction before guests enter into the outdoor queue area. The outdoor queue features purple and green railings (Buzz’s colors) that wind around gardens and toys. Some toys include an oversized Laser Blaster from Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin as well as the packaging for Buzz Lightyear himself.
The covered area of the queue features additional oversized toys and flats, similar to the queue for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Murals line the walls referencing Star Command and an objective of defeating Zurg. The queue walls and ceilings are designed with oversizes Construx blocks.
Two to three guests per vehicle sit in their personal toy rocket/flying saucer that will be towed around the attraction by a Little Green Alien. The three eyed aliens each have different expressions on their faces and their flying saucer connects to our vehicle with a claw. The vehicles have several different bright color schemes and guests must wear a single seat belt.
While less intense than the Mad Tea Party, there are similarities in the spinning motion.
