The 2019 D23 Expo takes place from August 23-25th at the Anaheim Convention Center. The event showcases all aspects of the Walt Disney Corporation including movies, television, and the theme parks. Details have been slowly coming out via press release, D23.com and the Disney Parks Blog. For full coverage of D23 Expo related items, refer to our D23 feed here.
During the D23 Expo, several panel presentations take place each day. Details on the panel presentations are emerging and Disney has announced the major events that will come to Hall D23. The Hall seats 6800 guests and is home to the largest presentations of the weekend.

“Dancing with the Stars” and Disney!

“Good Morning America”’s Ginger Zee hosts a behind-the-scenes peek into the most magical night in the ballroom: Disney Night! Join Ginger, show host Tom Bergeron, show judge Carrie Ann Inaba, Mirrorball champions Rashad Jennings and Jordan Fisher, and “Dancing with the Stars” executive producer Andrew Llinares for a celebration of the “Dancing with the Stars” and Disney connection. There may even be a hint at what’s to come on “Dancing with the Stars” 2019 this fall on ABC.
The Disney Legends Awards Ceremony

The ceremony, hosted by Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger, will once again honor those visionaries and artists who have made significant contributions to the Disney legacy. Mousequerade – Presented by Raw Threads

Mousequerade, the fan-favorite costume competition that invites participants to create their own Disney-inspired designs, returns to D23 Expo 2019. Join judges Ashley Eckstein (Star Wars Rebels), Yvette Nicole Brown (Disney’s upcoming live-action Lady and the Tramp), Jennifer Leonard (owner and designer of Raw Threads), and the contest’s host, Disney’s Jim Babcock, to watch dozens of finalists compete in five exciting categories for the $2,300 Best in Show Prize!
The Music and Sounds of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Sound design is an instrumental layer of storytelling found throughout every Disney park, resort, and cruise ship. Join Imagineering Music Studio lead Matt Walker in discussing the creative process behind the original music and sound design heard throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Stars and executive producers from ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” come together to honor the past six seasons of the show while looking forward to the forthcoming thrilling conclusion of the series in summer 2020. Disney on Broadway: A 25th Anniversary Celebration

Hosted by Tony Award-nominee Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast), the 75-minute concert will feature Heidi Blickenstaff (Freaky Friday, The Little Mermaid), Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, On The Record), Kissy Simmons (The Lion King), Josh Strickland (Tarzan) and Alton Fitzgerald White (The Lion King). A six-piece band, led by Jim Abbott, will accompany performers as they lead the audience through Disney on Broadway’s Tony Award-winning catalogue.
