2019 D23 Expo Day 3: Parks and Resorts Presentation – Epcot’s World Showcase


Day 3 of the 2019 D23 Expo was highlighted by the Parks and Resorts presentation at 10:30 AM PST (1:30 PM PST). The presentation was hosted by Bob Chapek, the head of Parks and Resorts and Consumer Products.

Epcot was the primary focus of the Walt Disney World portion of the presentation, however other smaller announcements, names, concept art and opening dates/seasons were revealed for other areas of Walt Disney World. Details on those other areas can be found in our “Everything Else” article for Day 3 of the D23 Expo.

A significant portion of the presentation was providing updates on previously announced projects, but we will cover all of the relevant Walt Disney World information below in the following six articles:

World Showcase

Wondrous China

The name for the new China Pavilion film will be Wondrous China.

Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360

Bob Chapek confirmed the name of the new show will be Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360 and it will open in January 2020.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Bob Chapek confirmed a Summer 2020 Opening date.

La Creperie de Paris

Bob Chapek confirmed the name of the new restaurant is La Creperie de Paris and it is expected to open in Summer 2020.

Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along

Bob Chapek confirmed a January 2020 Opening date.

Mary Poppins Attraction

A performance of Step in Time by a time of Chimney Sweeps accompanied by Dick Van Dyke took over the stage to announce a Mary Poppins Attraction for the United Kingdom Pavilion. Few details were given on the ride itself, but guests will be able to walk down Cherry Tree Lane past Admiral Boom’s house before entering the attraction through the door at 17 Cherry Tree Lane.

Epcot Forever

Bob Chapek shared music from Epcot Forever.



Bob Chapek confirmed the name HarmonioUS will be the name of the fireworks show set to debut in 2020.
