Disney is changing the dining options available at the Yacht Club Resort to a new "Ale & Compass" concept. The new offerings are as follows:
- The Market at Ale & Compass - Debuted on May 15, 2017 offers 28 seats for casual dining and a marketplace set to open in July 2017.
- Ale & Compass Lobby Lounge - Set to debut November 26th, the 58 seat venue offers cocktails and "light bites"
- Ale & Compass Restaurant - Set to debut November 26th, replacing the expanded Captain's Grille, the restaurant will have "gastropub ambience" with "New England-inspired comfort food".
November 14, 2017: The Disney Parks Blog announced that reservations are now open for Ale & Compass Restaurant for all dates November 26, 2017 and beyond for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Ale & Compass Lobby Lougne will also open on November 26th.
October 9, 2017: WDWMagic.com is reporting that the Gastropub Ale & Compass Lobby Lounge opening has been pushed back to November.
July 7, 2017: The Disney Parks Blog revealed details on upcoming dining changes at Disney's Yacht Club Resort.
A small merchandise location will be added to The Market at Ale & Compass to this later in July.
The new Ale & Compass lobby lounge is set to debut in October with 58 seats. Offerings will include cocktails and "light bites".
The bigger change is coming to the Captain's Grille which is being expanded and renamed to the Ale & Compass Restaurant. Per the Disney Parks Blog:
The re-imagined restaurant will have a gastropub ambience with New England-inspired comfort food, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. An on-stage hearth oven is the focal point. D�cor is inspired by the cozy warmth of a lighthouse, as a comforting respite from the outside world. The casual, table-service restaurant is on the Disney Dining Plan.
May 15, 2017: The Market at Ale and Compass is now open.
