Disney confirmed the rumor that they will be charging an overnight fee for guests with a vehicle at their resorts. In addition, they will be increasing the cost of valet parking.
On all reservations made on March 21st, 2018 or later, an overnight self-parking fee will be added to the nightly room rates. The fees are as follows:
- Disney Value Resorts: $13 per night
- Disney Moderate Resorts: $19 per night
- Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $24 per night
- Complimentary standard parking is available to Guests staying at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Each campsite provides parking space for one (1) motorized vehicle.
Day guests at the hotel will not be charged for dining, shopping, entertainment or recreational activities at the resorts and Disney Vacation Club Members will not be charged the overnight self-parking fee.
This change will not have any effect on the complimentary parking for Annual Passholders or Resort Guests at the theme parks.
As part of this, valet parking will increase from $25 to $33.

March 13, 2018: WDWMagic.com is reporting hearing similar reports of parking fees at the resorts. In a subsequent post, they also reported that Valet parking is expected to increase in price as well.
March 13th, 2018: Screamscape.com is reporting that Disney is considering charging for parking at its resorts. Details on how this would work have not been revealed but it is assumed that it will be a nightly fee added to the bill and guests will still have free parking at the parks.
February 1, 2017: WDWMagic.com user TheVisionarySoul is reporting that Disney is looking to start implementing resort fees and parking fees at all Walt Disney World resorts. Disney reportedly believes that resort fees have become the industry standard and do not foresee issues with those.
The changes to the parking will require new gates (and relocation of the Magic Kingdom gates) and the reported breakdown would be as follows:
- Less than 30 minutes: Free
- $5 an hour up to a max of $30 a day
- Daily overnight self-parking will be $30 a day
- Valet will be $50 a day
He also speculated that Tables in Wonderland users may still receive valet parking but that is unconfirmed.
