Before you Ride
This ride moves faster than Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
The queue also includes an elevator which younger guests may find thrilling.
The vehicles are 2 seater rockets aligned in a single file.
The planets above Rockettower Plaza can be seen from multiple areas throughout the park. At one point, the planets rotated, but have been stationary for several years. The rockets offer an alternative to Space Mountain for younger guests wishing to ride in a rocket.
The 12 rockets rotate around the planets offering 360 degrees of Tomorrowland.
The attraction was originally known as Star Jets. The original attraction opened in 1974. The attraction closed in January, 1994 and re-opened as the Astro Orbiter on April 30, 1994.
