Times Guide – Opening/Closing
This attraction opens with the park.
Some of the 97 targets in the gallery include a jail, trees, hotel, bank and grave stones that all react to being shot with pre-programmed animation. Additionally there are several other moving targets within the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade that will pop up from time to time. After paying $1.00 to play (this gives you 35 shots), guests take their position at one of the 16 guns on Boot Hill to start shooting at the targets.
Some of the targets will trigger movement or sound effects making for a multi-sensory experience.
Fun Fact: In Michael Jackson's Thriller Video, the idea for the hand coming out of the ground was inspired by a similar prop in the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade
1982 - Lead Pellets replaced by infra-red guns
The shooting component is similar to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.
