The Seven Dwarf's Mine Train is a family coaster coming to the Enchanted Forest section of Fantasyland. It features a first-of-its kind ride system with a train of ride vehicles that swing back and forth, responding to every twist and turn of the track. The journey will be accompanied by music from the classic Disney film and animated figures of Snow White and the Dwarfs. Per Disney, the ride will take Magic Kingdom Park guests on a musical journey through the mine “where a million diamonds shine".
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is an exciting roller coaster-type ride in a swaying mine car through the rolling countreyside and into the diamond mine of the Seven Dwarfs and features, sharp turns, sudden drops and stops.
Located across from Storybook Treats and the Friar's Nook
Guests of all ages. It is also intended to be a roller coaster that's a step above The Barnstromer Featuring the Great Goofini and a step below Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Times Guide – Opening/Closing
This attraction opens with the park.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is one of the high demand Fastpass+ reservations in the park. Same day availability will be limited and guests will typically save at least 60 minutes using Fastpass+ even on low crowd days.
The queue for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train includes many interactive components. The first element is a jewel sorting station. Jewels flow buy guests in a 15-foot wooden sluice, and guests can sort them into different trays based on color and shape (the gems come in four different sizes and six colors). Music from the film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” can be created in this section when guests move from spigot to spigot. There are 12 spigots, inspired by the Dwarfs’ woodland friends, that each correspond to the notes of a musical scale.
Another element is the Vault room. This is a nod to the scene in the film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” where Dopey hangs a key on the wall just outside the mine’s Vault room door.
Another element is a barrel spinning game. When all of the barrels are spinning simultaneously an image of Snow White can be seen on the ceiling.
Give the barrel
a great big spin.
You'll be surprised
it'll make ya grin!
Each train of vehicles has 5 cars each. Each car seats 4 guests in 2 rows of 2. The vehicles are set up on a cradle like pivot that will allow them to swing as they travel around corners and throughout the ride. Each car will also be able to accommodate guests that must transfer from a wheelchair.
Guests board a mine car train that takes them into the gem mine of the Seven Dwarfs. All of Fantasyland can be seen from various points in the attraction.
When the attraction leaves the station it approaches the first lift hill with the facade for Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid emerging at the top of the hill. As it climbs the hill, a mine cart can be seen at a different entrance to the mine. At the top of the hill, two buzzards are perched over head. The buzzards were originally from the now extinct, Snow White's Scary Adventures.
The train twists and turns before entering the mine. Inside the mine, each Dwarf is engaged in a different mining activity. First, Dopey pops his head out of a cart being pulled by a deer.
The mine is referred to as Diamond Pass, and a selection of various gems glow inside the mine. Around the corner is Sneezy, who is carrying several buckets of gems.
Bashful and Happy are swinging pick axes across from Sneezy. Across from them, Sleepy is doing what he does best, sleeping. A skunk sits on Sleepy's head. Nearby, Grumpy is seen pulling at a rope as his face strains with the effort. As the vehicle approaches the lift hill, Doc can be seen weighing gems as he kicks off the song, "Hi Ho"
This leads the train to the second lift hill. Shadows of the dwarfs chase us over the top of the lift hill as the train emerges from the mine revealing the Beauty and the Beast village. The train travels down the biggest drop, by a waterfall and through several twists and turns. The attraction finishes by passing by the cottage where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs can be seen dancing through the windows.
Right after the cottage, the Wicked Witch emerges before the train pulls into the unload area.
