Star Wars Weekends was a celebration of Star Wars themed entertainment at Hollywood Studios. The annual event took place over 4 or 5 weekends in the spring and featured celebrity guests, panel discussions and other entertainment. 2014 marked the first time the event spanned 5 weekends and it also marked the first time that each night ended with a Star Wars themed fireworks show.

A celebrity event host was in attendance each weekend, and at the 2014 event, this was James Arnold Taylor, the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi on “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” Other celebrities that have appeared over the years are Peter Mayhew, Ashley Eckstein, Warwick Davis, Ahmed Best, Mark Hamill, Ray Park, John Ratzenberger, and Billy Dee Williams.

Ending in 2013, the Hyperspace Hoopla featured many Star Wars characters in a pop song dance show. Other events regularly cycled over the years.

Additionally, there was a wide selection of event specific merchandise, typically available at a single large merchandise location. While the location changed over the years, Darth's Mall was the primary location for the last few years of the event.

The last year the event took place was 2015. It ultimately ended as work began on additional permanent Star Wars content for the park. A similar event, Star Wars Season of the Force is set to debut in early 2016.
